1/2 Scale Crit
The model I chose for my design worked successfully and withheld the weight for the half scale model. During this critique I learned a lot about the structure of cardboard, and how it holds up to the test. Notes: Use double-ply cardboard whereever possibe; keep in mind it's heavier though.Needs reinforcement for the back and underneath the calfs. Research a more comfortable angle for the back Lower the portion of the chair where the lower leg rests Support head if possible for those who want to read.
Something to think about is possibly a place to rest the arms, if I can do it efficiently. Also add more cross members to secure the backbone of the chair at pivotal points. A problem I had with the skin, where tabs were sticking up, I could possibly integrate the skin and connect it to the backbones to minimize wear and tear of the cardboard.
